Thank God I do not have aspirations to be a "Blogger" because I sorta suck at updating and remembering that I have a blog LOL!
I have some new stuff up in my shop and they are quite lovely if I do say so myself:
I am very tired these days and kinda just feeling down in general, there is a lot going on with my extended family at the moment and well to be frank they wore me down years ago so I really don't have the energy to invest in this recent bout of high drama.
I had a kitchen fire yesterday. It was really scary. I am so preoccupied with above noted drama (lack of sleep does NOT help) that I didn't realise how close I left a cotton pot cooler next to the burner. I was boiling water to make lunch for Catarina...two min later I walk towards the kitchen to check on said water and am met with a cloud of thick white smoke (My eyes were burning and I could not see a foot ahead of me) Catarina followed me into the kitchen (she is my sweet perfect shadow these days) and began coughing. I FREAKED out grabbed her ran to the bedroom tossed her on the bed and shut the door. I was not thinking so instead of going for the fire extinguisher (however that is spelt) I grabbed the metal burner protector that the flaming pot cooler was on (eyes stinging and lungs burning) and ran and threw it outside (still on fire I might note) God bless the neighbour for being home I called her and she ran over I grabbed Riley from his crib held his face against my chest (the smoke had yet to hit his room) and ran him outside to her...I then ran back in grabbed Catarina who was very scared and ran her outside to the same neighbour...I then smashed the fire out with the same metal burner protector and went back in opened all the windows and doors then joined the kids at the neighbours house (this is why you should get to know your neighbours btw) We waited for Craig who got home about an hour later and took them to the clinic...they were both fine but I am still shaken. If anything had happened to either of those two little saints I would have died twice.
So that was yesterday....
