    Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 

    The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a museum located on the shores of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, USA. It is dedicated to archiving the history of some of the best known and most influential artists, producers, engineers and others who have somehow influenced the major music industry through the genre of rock music . The museum is part of the city redeveloped Harbor North Shore.

    The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum complex is located in Cleveland, Ohio, devoted to artists, designers, project managers and others associated with the growth and popularity of rock and roll.

    Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was founded April 20, 1983. However, it was not at home. The search committee considered several cities such as Memphis (home Sun Studios and Stax Records), Detroit (Motown Records in the house), Cincinnati (home King Records), New York and Cleveland. Cleveland pressures difficult to choose between supporting a disc jockey Alan Freed Cleveland is widely credited with promoting a new genre (and terminology) and "Rock and Roll", and that Cleveland was the location of the first rock and roll concert. The civic leaders in Cleveland has promised $ 65 million of public funds to finance its construction. A petition signed by 600 000 hard fans favoring Cleveland over Memphis, and the USA Today poll which Cleveland won 100 000 votes. Hall of Fame Board of Directors has resolved to build a museum in Cleveland.
